• What is an Honor Bar?

    At Villa Amistad, our Honor Bar is a self-serve, trust-based bar—similar to a hotel minibar but, with full size beverages at reasonable prices. You’ll find a curated selection of drinks ready whenever you are.


    Simply take what you want, document what you took on the Honor Bar Ledger, and either pay by cash pesos or card for what you took that day.


    Our idea of Smart Luxury: convenient, fairly priced, and built on mutual respect—so you can simply relax and treat Villa Amistad as your home away from home.

  • Can I setup a Tab and add a Card On File?

    Yes, For guests staying at least 3 nights just send a message to the host, Mark, asking if ok.

  • How do I record what I took and make payment?

    How to use the Honor Bar


    1. Choose Your Items

    • Browse the Honor Bar Menu here or at the bar and confirm items are in stock.
    • Prices are shown in Mexican Pesos.

    2. Payment: Cash (pesos only)

    • Complete an Honor Bar Pre-Printed Envelope completely
    • Place Exact change only in Pesos into the envelope and drop in the safe box.
    • Items should be paid the same day taken.

    Card Payment

    • Complete the Honor Bar Ledger completely so we can reconcile what you took with your online payment. Make sure to circle CARD for Payment Type.
    • Scan the QR code (Scan To Pay) located at the Honor Bar on the wall. This will open our Stripe secure payment link.
    • Pay the total amount due.
    • Items should be paid the same day taken.

    Tab (only if staying 3+ nights, card on file, and confirmed with Mark the host)

    • Your Tab is charged to your card on file prior to checkout.  The Honor Bar Ledger should be completed daily with all items taken. Circle TAB under Payments on the Ledger.
    • Enter all items taken daily.
